Nishi's trip to Base Camp Brewing
Hey guys,
Simone asked me to put up some thoughts about my trip to Base Camp Brewing! My adopted dad and I were having a father-daughter day in Portland, which usually means trips to places I love, like Saturday market, or Fido's indoor dog park!
This day was different, we were on 84 West, and it started to rain.
Being a water dog, I thought that was greatI
Dad meanwhile, not so much... He said some words I hadn't heard before, and turned the car South. We stopped at my favorite brewery, Lucky Lab, which I'll write about shortly. After that, the sun came out and we cruised up SE 9th; not sure where we were going.... Then we stopped at a patio. How cool is that? Industrial area with a closed off section with a small cover, bark chips and fire pits?
After letting me off my leash (pretty sure Ross, Joey, and the crew wouldn't have appreciated it....) Dad rolled in and got a couple of his staples.... The Acclimator Doppelbock, the S'mores Stout, and the Northwest Fest.
While we were there, Uncles Kayne and Tommy appeared! *tail wags*
Several more in-tents IPL's later, and an order from Pizza Box and Gonzo's gyro cart (both located out front and offering delivery to the brewery, we were ready for more urban hiking.
I give Base Camp Brewing 3.5 paws. Some more cover out back, and table service would be awesome.
Regardless this is a premier dog friendly spot for good dogs. I bet Simone is jealous I got to go!
Ta-ta for now,
Nishi, good dog
Tin Shed pictures!
Here I am, checking out the menu, while the female servant listens to the specials. The specials change with the seasons. Very cool!
Here we are, as I wonder why I'm being held. My food and water were delivered....
The female servant seems to like the attention that follows me.
Tin Shed Garden Cafe
My servants love this PDX brunch place called Tin Shed in the Northeast, in the Alberta District. The plus side to this brunch spot is not how cool the people are, but how dog friendly they are to us pooches.
The greeters bring you your own water bowl and they have a doggie menu just for us furry kids. The hipster dogs of Portland are lucky to have this place. All the food is locally sourced sustainably farmed. For my friends with gluten sensitive tummies, you can get the sweet potato option - no tummy aches here! I had the Ham-Barker helper; ground pork with sweet potato. It was per the recommendation of my labrador Nishi, the "Good Dog". If you don't want sweet potatoes you can get rice. Protein options are pork, chicken or ground beef.
I give Tin Shed 4.5 paws - The servants get pint sized mimosas.... Where are my dogmosas???? Or red dogbrewed beer ???
Don't forget fellow pooches, December 4 at 5pm we get to meet Santa Paws.
Guy Fieri from Triple D stopped at Tin Shed and the episode will air on November 25 for your mommies and daddies to enjoy. Photos coming shortly.

Woof!
Welcome to my intro post! I'm Simone, a Lhasa Apso from the Portland,OR area. I grew up in a puppy mill with no caring owners, no life, and no mimosas!
I was adopted and am now living with a couple of servants, some cats, a Lhasa shitzu and a Labrador. I'll be posting my dog friendly brunch experiences, and rating locations based on paw counts.
First up is Tin Shed Garden Cafe on Alberta.
Till then, woof!
